Bhutan: A himalyan jewel

I had the fortune to take a mother-son trip to Bhutan with in 2013. Bhutan is quite unique, the land locked conuntry opened to rest of the world only in 1990s, and still maintains a mystic that drew myself. From tales of dragons, painted phallus, hottest chillis to physics defying architecture - there is something for everyone in Bhutan. Bhutan is the only country that measures its progress in Gross Happiness Index, instead of other capitalistic based instruments. It is also the only country that is carbon negative, forests that cover it's ~70% area pull more carbon than the country produces!

This was a special trip, which I hope to take again some other day. Read more on how you can support the ethical tourism in Bhutan, and don't forget to visit Paro Taktsang to find out secrets of Batman's ninja training.
